I am a fans of Oscar De La Hoya. I hardly enjoyed when De La Hoya stopped Chavez’s career by TKO. But I was rather disappointed when De La Hoya fight against Trinidad and Mosley, it was more disappointed when he fight against Bernard Hopkins.
The most things I remembered about De La Hoya is that his fight always earned much money. Last year De La Hoya’s fight has broke all HBO pay-per-view records, it was happened when he fight against Mayweather Jr. The match has earned over $120 million and erased financial record held previously by Tyson-Lewis. It was a pity that De La Hoya lose by split decision.
Now De La Hoya-Mayweather Jr. fight II has been scheduled on September 20th, 2008. Do you think their rematch will eclipse their first fight revenue? Sure we will see the truth in Las Vegas. De La Hoya said that his style will be totally different to fight against Mayweather, and he promised to give him a humbling moment. De La Hoya has been trained to attack when Mayweather crosses his feet, which puts him slightly off balance. As we all know Mayweather is so fast, that is why De La Hoya must react to it right away.
I still prefer to choose De La Hoya as my favorite, who is yours? Let’s watch together this richest fight in boxing history by book De La Hoya/Mayweather tickets.
